Wedding Officiant
For All People
The desire to marry goes far beyond the confines of religion and sexual identity. It is about the expression of true love you share with another. That sense of enchantment. Knowing there is a partner with you to celebrate the joys and share the burdens is what brings us peace.
As more people are marrying outside of their religious faith as well as gay men and women also wanting to “tie the knot”, I have had the privilege of officiating some of these wedding ceremonies.
I was ordained as a non-denominational minister in 1998 from the IM School of Healing Arts. Since then I have been asked to officiate the sacred rituals of marriage for many couples and even a couple of puppets. Yes, it’s true, I officiated the marriage of Rod and Ricky, the stars of Broadway’s “Avenue Q” when gay marriage became legal in July 2011. Other couples I officiated were from different ethnic or religious backgrounds as well as gay couples who wanted a non-denominational minister to officiate their ceremonies.
I am happy to customize your special day with rituals, prayers, poetry and anything else you and your partner require to make a special ceremony. Contact me for a free consultation at 917-334-8907.
